(pronounced Bre GEE ta-Rita)

This drink came about because our neighbor Brigitte had a fantastic drink years ago. It made such an impression on her, she saved the vague ingredients (no instructions or amounts) hoping to one day replicate it. When she realized our passion for mixology, we decided to put our heads together and try to recreate it. The main ingredient is Mezcal, which is a smokey Tequila. I think after watching the video, you'll see it was a big success and we have so much fun! Just love our awesome neighbors!!
Ingredients
Parsley (handful)
1/2 Cucumber
Seltzer Water
1 shot Mezcal
1 shot of lime simple syrup*
1/2 teaspoon Celery Bitters
1/4 teaspoon Lava Java (pepper bitters)
Instructions
Rim a glass with a lime, salt and smoked paprika.
If you have a juicer, you can juice a handful of fresh parsley & 1/2 of a cucumber (peeled) then add the Seltzer water afterwards. We used a food processor with 1 can of Seltzer water then strained the mixture.
Add all the other ingredients and stir well. Add ice and garnish with extra parsley, a celery stick and a carrot slice.
*Lime Simple Syrup - mix 1/2 cup of warm water with 1/2 cup of sugar until dissolved. Add ice cubes to cool and make 1 cup of liquid. Add 1/4 cup of fresh lime juice (more or less to taste).
